Today’s post in the market day at Hodderville Farm Market. Had a fab day talking about wood. Even had the Master turner himself John Sandos (dad) here today.
Sorry I haven’t done any more for sometime. Sorry to say I have been fighting the big C. Having bascel carsenoma on my nose and Melanoma on shin and back. Just one after the other.
Please look after yourselves folks the sun can be a killer.
So what have we been up to. Very little turning lately so not much to show.
We have attended 3 fairs and sold some pieces.
We now have a new outlet for our wood along with Something in Time in Arapuni, we welcome aboard Hodderville Farm Market. Hodderville Nursery is on Old Taupo Rd, open daily. We look forward to a great relationship with them. They have a market day every second month as from the first Sunday March next year.

We also welcome Scotty Art to our stand and Danielle C. Crafts. Scotty’s art is fence art 🎨 ie the hanging lizard 🦎. Danielle C is a crochet set animals. Dinosaurs, octopuses, long eared Bunnies, etc.
Have a great Christmas 🎄🎁 all talk soon
Cheers Gary
You may have noticed or not that the site has been a bit up and down of late.
I haven’t been on the better side of well but I’m still alive, so onwards and upwards to better times.
So what is new, well not much really on my side. so the last piece I turned was a practice one that turned into this. I call it the lolly tree. It was a bowl that I was working on to see how thin I could go. Unfortunately I went through the bottom and joined the funnel club. so what to do so I did this. It is Pohutukawa center Finial and a light wood center with Kauri bowl center and Pahutukawa base and bowl. Cheers Arapuni Wood Turner.
